"For we walk by faith and not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Often times we look at the circumstance around us and get discouraged, or when you kneel to pray you don't feel anything. It feels as if your prayers don't even reach the ceiling. But, the Bible says we as Christians should walk by faith. Having faith and believing that God will provide and be there when we need him. Quit look at the circumstance and look at God. He can do all things, whether big or small. If we walked by sight in today's society we wouldn't get very far. Negative things are happening all around us, but if we will just put our trust in God everything will turn out fine. God promised to never leave nor forsake us. So why can't we get that through our heads? Don't you have to have faith that you are going to receive a paycheck at the end of the week, before you actually see it? We need to focus more on this scripture and trust God. Lean not on our own understanding but on his. As far as feelings go. Where in the Bible does it say you have to have a certain feeling to reach God. Whether you feel him or not he's there. Whether you see him or not he's there. Standing in the midst of what ever circumstance you are going through. Remember quit looking at the circumstance and have faith in God!

"But, we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word." (Acts 6:4)

Many times in today's society we get side-tracked and forget about our prayer life and ministering to others. Our busy lives often get more attention than the time for prayer and witnessing to those around us. Don't get me wrong we need to make time for our families, but instead of sitting down to watch a movie or play a game why not read the Bible or pray as a family. I am just as guilty of doing these "fun" things as anyone else. I plan to make time and hopefully better myself in this area this coming year. I can say I plan to make this year a year I become so "on fire" that no one or nothing can put the flame out or even cause it to dwindle the least little bit. I also plan to spend more time and become more dedicated to the blog also. I was told over this past year, whether I believed it or not this was a great ministry, and if I can help someone by keeping this going and open their eyes to the truth then I plan to. I challenge us this year to become more dedicated and in tune with God than ever before.
